Some got job at 60 and some at 59, retired the very next day.

A surprising case of getting a government job has come to light in Jharkhand. Crores of youth in the country cherish the dream of getting a government job – some of them get success and some fail. A case has come to light from Jharkhand, which cannot be called successful or unsuccessful. But some people are calling it bad luck.

 

Actually, the process of appointment to 26 thousand posts is going on in Jharkhand. Chief Minister Hemant Soren distributed appointment letters to one thousand candidates under the Assistant Professor appointment process in the state. However, such cases have come to light in which teachers who received appointment letters on Monday retired on Tuesday i.e. a day later (within 24 hours). The surprise came when a teacher received the appointment letter after retirement.

CM Hemant Soren gave appointment letter

Chief Minister Hemant Soren had handed over appointment letters to new teachers at a function organized in the capital Ranchi on June 29. In this, some such teachers also came to collect the appointment letters, whose age limit of 60 years had already been completed before receiving the appointment letters.

 

 

 

Teachers who applied to retire in 2023

According to the information, such a situation has arisen due to 50 percent seats being reserved for para teachers in teacher appointment in Jharkhand. According to the Teacher Appointment Rules, the maximum age limit for para teachers to apply is 58 years. In such a situation, the teachers who had applied in the year 2023 at the age of 57 or 58 years, are retiring after receiving the appointment letters due to the completion of 60 years of age in 2026.

Retired on the second day of receiving appointment letter

Nandlal Rawani is a resident of Jamtara district. He received the appointment letter on 29th June but he retired the very next day on 30th June 2026. Today he turned 60 years old. Nandlal told that he was working as a para teacher since 2006. In the year 2016, he passed the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test, after which he applied for the appointment process of Assistant Professor in 2023. He is retiring on the second day of the examination process and receiving the appointment letter.

Retire before getting appointment

Similarly, Palamu teacher Mohd Niyum Ansari also received the appointment letter on June 29. He completed 60 years of age on 31 May 2026. Due to this, he has retired even before receiving the appointment letter. Emotionally he said that he will keep this appointment letter with him as a souvenir.

 

At the same time, the candidate said that if he had got the appointment on time, he would have got the satisfaction of serving as a government teacher at least for some time. The candidate told that he had passed JTET/TET both in 2013 and 2016, but due to delay in appointment, now he has to retire as soon as he gets the job.
