Sonakshi Sinha ends ‘irrelevant’ nepotism debate with powerful statement

Sonakshi Sinha shares honest thoughts on ‘nepotism’ in recent update

Sonakshi Sinha has shared her unfiltered thoughts on nepotism after deeming the term over-discussed and unnecessary.

The actress, who is also the daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, reflected on how her father has always been honest with her despite having established a successful career in acting.

In an exclusive interview with News18the Dabangg star revealed, “Tough fathers make really resilient and strong daughters. My dad, on the other hand, has always been very soft on me but very, very honest too. But his main thing has been that I’ll have to prove myself on my own. His approach might have been different, but I think that always works in creating a strong and independent woman.”

In addition, Sonakshi noted that she doesn’t consider nepotism an important topic to dwell on, as she believes it to be irrelevant in the current age.

Reflecting on the dynamics of the industry, she added, “I may want an opportunity to join a business, but the businessman’s son will have a greater chance to be a part of it than me. That’s how the world works. I can’t grouse or hold a grudge against that person because his way to that opportunity is much easier than mine. I don’t think that nepotism is a topic that deserves so much attention from people.”

For the unversed, Sonakshi earned her breakthrough after starring alongside Salman Khan in the highly acclaimed Dabangg franchise.

Instead of using her nepo tag to land the breakthrough role, Salman recognised the actor in her at an event and ultimately decided to cast her.

On professional front, the actress is currently gearing up for her Prime Video film Systemdirected by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
