Sonakshi Sinha reveals her intention behind content creation

Sonakshi Sinha has opened up about her growing digital involvement, clarifying that while she enjoys creating online content, she is not trying to make a career shift from acting.

The Bollywood star, who has collected a significant following on YouTube through beauty tutorials and personal vlogs, spoke about her journey at Amazon Beautyverse, where she reflected on balancing film work with her online presence.

With over 15 years in the industry, she described content creation as an extension of her relationship with audiences rather than a separate career path.

“The digital space has really flourished in the last few years, and it’s also a great way for me to reach my audience directly, which is why I’m on it,” she said. “This is something that I can do by being my authentic self, and that’s why it doesn’t feel like work but fun. I’m not making it my main source of income. It will always be a by-product of what I’m doing.”

Sinha emphasized that acting continues to define her professional identity, despite her growing influence online.

She added that engaging with fans through digital platforms allows her to stay connected in a more personal and informal way.

The actress also reflected on changing beauty standards in Indian cinema, noting that perceptions of beauty have evolved. She described beauty as diverse and ever-changing, crediting the industry for representing different forms of it through various generations of actresses.

For Sinha, both mediums serve different purposes, but only one remains her core passion as she continues to navigate film and digital spaces simultaneously.
