The Yogi government is making efforts on a war footing to end the backwardness of the tribal dominated Sonbhadra district and make it a developed and well-organized Sonbhadra. To remove backwardness, the government created an investment-friendly environment here, after which big companies have laid the foundation of change by investing. Development work is also going on at a fast pace in the district. In this context, to provide impetus to the industries, the government has recommended release of budget for widening and strengthening of 4 main roads.
District Magistrate Charchal Gaur said that to provide better connectivity to the industries, about 66.44 km in the district. In the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Finance and Finance Commissioner for widening and strengthening of 4 roads of the district, it has given financial approval to the proposals worth Rs 166.92 crore related to the widening and strengthening of 4 roads of the district and recommended the release of the budget. He told that soon after completing the tender process, road construction work will be started. He said that with the construction of these roads, the connectivity of Sonbhadra, surrounded by the borders of four states, with other districts will improve.
The District Magistrate said that better connectivity will reduce the time and cost (logistics cost) of transportation of raw materials and finished products for industries. He said that the construction of the proposed roads will benefit the industries as well as the common people. At present, it takes a lot of time to travel, but after the construction of the road, this journey can be completed in minutes and the accidents occurring on the route will also reduce. The District Magistrate said that the strengthening of Chopan-Kota-Kon-Kharaudhin road will be done at a cost of about Rs 43.84 crore.
Along with this, approximately Rs 58.15 crore will be spent on strengthening and surface improvement of Varanasi-Shaktinagar State Highway 5-A. Told that the strengthening of RS Road to Kodra Tola road will be done at a cost of approximately Rs 26.09 crore. The strengthening of Murdhwa-Myorpur-Babhani-Chapki-Bijpur road will be done at a cost of approximately Rs 38.82 crore.
