South Africa women’s team defeated India by eight wickets

Durban (South Africa): After Tumi Sekhukhune and Chloe Tryon (three wickets each), thanks to the brilliant performance of captain Laura Woolfart (54) and Sune Luus (57), South Africa’s women’s team defeated India by eight wickets with 17 balls remaining in the second T20 match on Sunday.

With this, South Africa has taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Showing the explosive batting of Laura Woolfart and Sune Luce, they made a partnership of 106 runs for the first wicket. In the 12th over, Shreyanka Patil broke this partnership by dismissing Laura Woolfart. Laura Woolfart played an innings of 54 runs in 34 balls, hitting seven fours and one six.

Shreyanka also hunted Sune Luce in the 16th over. Sune Luus scored 57 runs in 46 balls hitting six fours and one six. South Africa women’s team scored 148 runs in 17.1 overs and won the match by eight wickets. Tejmin Britts scored unbeaten (20) and Anri Dickerson scored unbeaten (12). Earlier, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian women’s team, who came to bat, scored 147 runs in 20 overs with the contributions of Shefali Verma (57) in 38 balls, Anushka Sharma (28), Arundhati Reddy (14), Smriti Mandhana (12) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (12). Indian batsmen could not last long in front of the South African bowling attack and kept losing their wickets. Six Indian batsmen could not even reach double figures. Tumi Sekhukhune and Chloe Tryon took (three wickets each) for South Africa. ND Klerk and N Mlaba dismissed one batsman each.
