Jordan Hermann: It is every batsman's dream to score a century in his debut match in cricket, but only a few young players are able to achieve this feat. But when a young player makes a series of records in his very first match, he makes headlines. A similar record has been made by 24 year old South African batsman Jordan Harman. Jordan Harman has created history by scoring a century in his debut ODI match played against Namibia in Windhoek. By scoring 150 runs in his debut ODI match, he has equaled the world record of his own team's Matthew Britzke.
Jordan Harman equals Matthew Britzke's world record
Jordan Harman played a brilliant century in the first ODI match against Namibia. He played a huge inning of 150 runs in 126 balls. During this period, 17 fours and 3 sixes came from his bat. He completed his first international century in just 93 balls. With this, Jordan Harman has equaled the world record of his countryman Matthew Britzke, who created a sensation by breaking the 47-year-old record in the year 2025. Now the world record for making the highest individual score on debut in ODI cricket history has been jointly held in the names of these two South African batsmen.

That historic moment of Matthew Britzke
Before Jordan Harman, the record of making this big record was in the name of South Africa's Matthew Britzke. Britzke made his ODI debut against New Zealand during the tri-series played in Pakistan in February 2025. In this debut match itself, Britzke had played an inning of 150 runs. Then he broke the 47-year-old record of the great West Indies batsman Desmond Haynes, who had scored 148 runs on his ODI debut against Australia in 1978.
