SP leader Mujahid Ali, angry over the detention of Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, said – ‘Government is suppressing the voice of youth’

Moradabad. Politics in the country has become more heated regarding the NEET paper leak issue. After the incident of detention of opposition leaders protesting in Delhi, Samajwadi Party (SP) has opened a front against the central government. Senior SP leader from Thakurdwara Mujahid Ali has expressed strong objection to this entire action and termed it as a direct attempt to ‘strangle democracy’. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Mujahid Ali has reacted after the detention of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

He said- “The effort to suppress the voice of the opposition on a serious issue like NEET paper leak in Delhi is against democratic values. If questions are being raised related to the future of lakhs of youth, then it is the responsibility of the government to conduct a transparent investigation and take strict action against the culprits.

Detaining Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and other opposition leaders is not the solution to the questions being raised in democracy. In a democracy, the Constitution has given everyone the right to protest and express their views. The government should listen to the voice of the opposition and not try to suppress it.

The youth of the country today want answers as to what action has been taken so far against those responsible for the repeated paper leaks. The education system should not be made a subject of political controversy but of honest reform.

Samajwadi Party has always stood with youth, students and democratic rights. We demand a fair investigation, strict action against the culprits and protection of the future of the students.”
