Kanpur. On the call of Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Honorable Akhilesh Yadav and under the direction of State President Honorable Shyam Lal Pal, the two-day visit of National Secretary Sardar Kuldeep Singh Bhullar to Kanpur was successfully completed on Sunday. During this program organized under the leadership of Samajwadi Party Kanpur Metropolitan President Haji Fazal Mahmood, dialogue was established with the Sikh community, businessmen, youth and people of different sections at various Gurudwaras and social places of the city and the resolve to take the ideology of PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) to the people was reiterated.
On his arrival in Kanpur, National Secretary Sardar Kuldeep Singh Bhullar was given a grand welcome under the leadership of Amarjeet Saluja. After this, party officials, workers and enlightened people of Sikh society felicitated him in a program organized at his residence. During his two-day stay, he addressed the congregation by paying obeisance at Kirtangarh Gurdwara Sahib, Guru Teg Bahadur Gurdwara Sahib, historical Gurdwara Bhai Banno Sahib, Ramgarhia Gurdwara Sahib and Latoosh Road Gurdwara Sahib.
In his address, National Secretary Sardar Kuldeep Singh Bhullar said that today the people of the state and the country are troubled by inflation, unemployment, increasing crime, plight of farmers, playing with the future of youth, poor condition of education and health services and increasing financial burden on small traders. The BJP government is only doing politics of publicity and show off by diverting the attention of the people from the basic questions, while the common man is struggling with increased electricity bills, expensive education, expensive treatment and employment crisis.
Sardar Kuldeep Singh Bhullar said that the contribution of the Sikh community in the country’s independence, protection of borders and nation building has been incomparable, but today many issues related to the Sikh community are not being taken seriously. He said that BJP’s politics has been to divide the societies among themselves and an attempt has been made to confuse the Sikh community by showing half-incomplete history. He said that the questions related to land and ownership rights still remain a matter of concern for the Sikh farmers of Terai region and the government is limited to mere announcements instead of solving these problems with sensitivity.
