Shribhoomi: With the aim of making the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) schemes run by the Indian Postal Department reach the common people, especially rural and low income group families, a special awareness campaign is being run in Patharkandi division of Sribhoomi district. Under the guidance of Inspector of Patharkandi Division, information about these schemes is being given to the people through various sub post offices and branch post offices under the division.
The main objective of this campaign of the Postal Department is to make people aware of the importance of life insurance, future financial security and available facilities. During the campaign, special emphasis is being laid on connecting people from rural areas and low income groups with PLI and RPLI.
All the concerned employees of the Postal Department, including the Inspector of Patharkandi Division, are actively engaged in this campaign, so that correct and official information about the schemes can be delivered to as many people as possible and the eligible people can get its benefits. It was informed by the department that as per the terms and conditions of the concerned policy and the applicable rules, various facilities including accident related benefits may be available. Providing correct information to rural people is a priority. In this regard, Inspector of Patharkandi Division said that PLI and RPLI are important life insurance schemes for the future financial security of the common people.
He said that many people living in rural areas are still not completely familiar with the features, eligibility and rules of these schemes. It is the priority of the Postal Department to deliver correct and official information to such people. For this purpose, awareness campaigns are being run in various areas. He said, “Through PLI and RPLI, a person can plan for the future financial security of himself as well as his family. RPLI is an important option, especially for people in rural areas. However, before taking any plan, a person should get complete information about his requirement, eligibility, premium, policy terms and available benefits.”
Appealing to the common people, the officer said that for correct and detailed information related to PLI or RPLI, contact your nearest post office directly. Official information regarding policy eligibility, premium, term, benefits and other conditions can be obtained from the post office. Information about various facilities including accident related benefits: According to the official, PLI and RPLI facilities are available in various post offices of the country under the Indian Postal Department. There may also be a provision for accident related benefits as per the terms and conditions of the concerned policy and applicable government rules.
He clarified that the benefits of each policy are determined as per its type, eligibility and applicable government rules. He said that through these schemes till now many policyholders have received various benefits as per the terms of their policy. He appealed to the people to get official information directly from the post office instead of relying on any kind of rumor or unconfirmed information.
