Sreeleela makes a case for festive dressing in a crimson and indigo lehenga by Hyderabad-based designer Geethika Kanumilli, featuring traditional Ajrakh motifs, intricate Aari embroidery and a striking play of colours.

For a recent public appearance, the actor opted for a voluminous lehenga set that brought together traditional Indian craftsmanship and a contemporary color palette. With its rich red and indigo tones, detailed embellishments and carefully arranged panels, the ensemble offers inspiration for those looking to refresh their festive wardrobe.

The flared skirt featured alternating panels of crimson and indigo, creating a striking visual contrast. Floral motifs adorned two panels in each colour, combining hand-done Ajrakh patterns with Aari embroidery, sequins and beads. The remaining panels featured chevron-like designs embellished with beads and sequins, adding texture and dimension to the skirt.

The color combination was equally significant. Red and indigo are traditionally associated with Ajrakh, a distinctive block-printing craft practiced in regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan. By incorporating these shades into the lehenga, the design paid homage to the craft's visual heritage while presenting it in a festive, contemporary format.

Sreeleela paired the skirt with an indigo, half-sleeved blouse featuring a traditional paan-shaped neckline. Embroidery along the neckline and sleeves complemented the intricate detailing on the lehenga. A sheer red dupatta with embroidered borders completed the ensemble, reinforcing the interplay between the two dominant colors.

Stylist Kunal Mundhe accessorised the actor's look with statement pearl earrings and stacked red and silver bangles from Hyderabad-based jewelery label Shold Sherni. The accessories added to the outfit's maximalist appeal without straying from its traditional aesthetic.

Her beauty look followed the same romantic direction. Pink eyeshadow, pink lips, highlighted cheekbones and a bindi lend a soft finish to the heavily embellished ensemble. Sreeleela wore her hair in a centre-parted braid, further enhancing the outfit's traditional appeal.
