Srha Asghar reveals the reason behind her hustle

Pakistani actress and model Srha Asghar has opened up about her financial struggles, early life and the reasons that have kept her committed to working throughout her career.

The actress recently appeared on Nida Yasir’s morning show Good Morning Pakistan, where she spoke about financial independence, family responsibilities and the importance of having a stable source of income.

Sharing details about her childhood, Srha said her mother raised all five siblings largely on her own. She explained that supporting the family and completing their education was difficult, adding that her mother even had to sell her jewellery to manage their expenses.

According to Srha, those circumstances made financial independence an important goal for the siblings. She said that although she was initially unsure about which profession to choose, she knew from an early age that she would eventually have to work.

Srha revealed that her sister had suggested journalism as a career option. However, her professional journey eventually led her into acting. She said consistency and punctuality played an important role in helping her establish herself in the entertainment industry.

The actress also discussed her present-day responsibilities. She explained that both she and her husband continue to work to support their household and maintain their lifestyle, particularly as they are raising three children.

Srha stressed that employment is important because household expenses, bills and other responsibilities require a steady income. She said working hard has allowed the couple to manage their financial commitments while continuing to provide for their family.

The actress also spoke about teaching children the value of earning independently. She shared that when her son appears with her in a social media reel, she puts the money earned from his participation into his bank account because she considers it his income.

Srha said that, eventually, everyone has to learn how to earn and become financially responsible. Her candid discussion offered a glimpse into the personal circumstances that shaped her attitude towards work, independence and financial responsibility.
