SS Rajamouli received honor in France, name included in ‘Wall of Filmmakers’, said – ‘I am very emotional’

Mumbai SS Rajamouli, director of superhit films like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’, has received a big honor in France. His name was included in the prestigious ‘Wall of Filmmakers’.

Rajamouli expressed his happiness by sharing this special moment on social media. He told that he visited the museum and went to the same screening room where his films ‘Eega’ and ‘RRR’ were shown to a houseful audience. He told that Thierry Frémo, director of the Institut Lumière and Cannes Film Festival, personally welcomed him and took him to the historic street considered to be the birthplace of cinema. This whole experience made him very emotional.

I am deeply grateful

Recalling that special moment, Rajamouli wrote, ‘I was already very emotional, then I saw a wall on which the names of the world’s great filmmakers were written – Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola… and then my eyes fell on a plate covered with a red cloth. At that time I became completely silent.

When he saw that his name was written on that plate, he became very emotional. He said, ‘I don’t know what to say about this honour. It is a big thing for me to have my name with such great people. I am deeply grateful. Rajamouli thanked the Institut Lumière and said that this memory will remain with him forever.

Rajamouli also recently presented the first glimpse of the film ‘Varanasi’.

Meanwhile, talking about work, Rajamouli had recently presented the first glimpse of his upcoming film ‘Varanasi’. Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in this film. There is already a lot of excitement among the fans about the film. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 7 April 2027.
