Saudi Arabia's conflict with Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen has intensified. The Houthi group is conducting reckless missile and drone attacks. In this situation, Delhi has issued a warning for Indians in Saudi. They have been asked to stay at home to avoid danger. These guidelines have been issued by the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

“In the current situation, all Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia should remain alert and vigilant. Stay indoors as necessary. Follow the instructions issued by the local authorities through official channels,” the Indian Embassy in Riyadh said in a statement. It further said, “Indian citizens are advised to refrain from broadcasting or posting any video or news related to ongoing events.”

Outsourced services operated through the embassy in Riyadh, consulate in Jeddah and VFS continue to function normally, Delhi's statement added. Final (updated) information and advice on this matter will be provided as necessary. Besides, a 24-hour helpline (local toll-free number 8002471234) of 'Prabasi Bharatiya Ashtaya Kendra' is operational.
