Hyderabad: Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming said that the two wins in the previous games were much needed, and the team is looking very confident.

On MS Dhoni, Fleming mentioned that they were happy with the way he had been progressing but refused to comment further, such as whether he would be playing tomorrow or not.

Speaking to the media on the eve of the IPL game against Sunrisers Hyderabad here on Friday, Fleming said that it would be a very tough fixture tomorrow.

Commenting on captain Ruturaj Gaikwad’s form, Fleming said they have been working on a number of things, both as a player and as a captain.

“He is working very hard but not getting the results he would have liked. That is the nature of the T20 format. But he is a quality player, and we should back him for a couple of games before he dominates the rest of the IPL. He has the support of everyone,” Fleming said.

The CSK head coach was pleased with Dewald Brevis coming back into the team.

“Brevis is one of the in-form players in world cricket with a very positive outlook. His skills and dynamism at No. 4 or No. 5 are really important,” he said.

“It is important for us to ensure that the Sunrisers’ top-order doesn’t take the game away. Yes, it is a high-risk game, amazing when it clicks. We need a little bit of luck,” he said.
