Even on the first day of October, the stock market started with a red mark. There is a continuous decline in the stock market. Today on October 1, the 30-share benchmark index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened with a loss of 287 points at 72193. At the same time, the 50-share Nifty of the National Stock Exchange started trading down 76 points at 22544.
At the same time, the condition of most of the big companies on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) remained weak till 9:33 am. Shares of 22 out of 30 big companies were in the red and only 8 were trading on the rise. Read how the situation was for the companies

Strength seen in 8 out of 30 companies
Banks and IT companies were ahead among the gainers. Shares of Kotak Bank rose 2.59% to Rs 428.40. Whereas Infosys stood at Rs 1,013.25 with a gain of 1.83%. HCL Tech gained 1.49% and TCS gained 1.11%, Axis Bank (0.94%), HDFC Bank (0.66%), ICICI Bank (0.38%) and SBI (0.11%) were also in the green. On the other hand, M&M shares fell the most by 2.32% to Rs 2,879.05.
After this, decline was recorded in Eternal (1.75%), Maruti (1.60%), UltraTech Cement (1.55%) and BEL (1.54%). ITC (1.12%), Hindustan Unilever (1.05%) and Asian Paints (1.14%) also fell by more than one percent. Reliance weakened by 0.51% at Rs 1,181.50 and Titan and TECHM declined marginally by 0.04%.
What is the price of gold and silver today?
There was a rise in the prices of both gold and silver in the bullion market i.e. the domestic market. As soon as the market opened, the price of gold rose to around Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams. Apart from this, the price of silver also increased and was seen trading around Rs 2.25 lakh per kg.
As of 10:15 am on October 1, the price of gold in the country increased to Rs 1,50,040 per 10 grams for 24 carat. 22 carat gold, commonly used in jewellery, stood at Rs 1,37,537 per 10 grams, while the price of 18 carat gold stood at Rs 1,12,530. Silver rose faster than gold and reached Rs 2,26,180 per kg with a gain of Rs 2,320 (1.04%).
