Stock Market Today: Business suffered losses due to increasing tension in West Asia, Sensex fell 625 points; Know the condition of Nifty

Mumbai. Domestic stock markets witnessed a decline in early trade on Wednesday due to deepening tension between America and Iran. BSE’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex opened at 77,816.45 points, down 364.27 points compared to the previous trading day.

It was down 540 points (0.69 percent) at 77,640.72. Earlier, at one time it had slipped 625 points to 77,555 points. America has once again attacked Iran amid ongoing talks on a final peace agreement regarding the West Asia crisis.

This has weakened the confidence of investors in the stock market. The Nifty-50 index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also opened down 149.15 points at 24,259.55. At the time of writing, it was down by 167 points at 24,231.70 points. Selling is going on in the macro market also. Except metal, pharma, health and realty, indices of all sectors are in the red.

In NSE, the indices of auto, FMCG, media and oil and gas groups are down by one to one and a half percent. Among Sensex companies, Asian Paints’ share fell by nearly three percent. There is a decline of two and a half percent in ITC and more than two percent in Indigo and Maruti Suzuki.

Shares of Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, BEL and NTPC have fallen by one to two percent. Shares of Adani Ports and Sun Pharma are up.
