Stopping the war, Iran will not make nuclear weapons! Surrender to the pressure of Trump?
Iran will never build nuclear weapons. This is what US President Donald Trump claimed. He said that one of the conditions of the ceasefire was that Iran should refrain from the activities of building nuclear weapons. The leadership in Tehran agreed to that condition. After the US President’s claim, the question is, is the war between the two countries going to stop soon? Not only that, the question is also raised that Iran surrendered under the pressure of Trump?
Among the conditions that Trump gave to Iran for a cease-fire were to allow free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and to hand over to Washington the amount of enriched uranium in Tehran’s possession. At the same time, Iran must refrain from building nuclear weapons. But Tehran is unwilling to accept these American conditions. Because of this, the two countries are unable to come to an agreement. In this climate, in an interview given to the US media on Saturday night, Trump said, “I only want one assurance, that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon. The interesting thing is that they have agreed to our proposal.” However, Tehran has not yet opened its mouth on the issue.
According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran has about 400 kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium, close to the level suitable for building nuclear weapons. Israeli officials claim that if this uranium is further refined, it is possible to make multiple atomic bombs from it, which is very dangerous. The New York Times report also states that most of Iran’s uranium stockpiles are in the Isfahan nuclear power plant. It was there that the US Army planned a new attack. But in the midst of all this, the US President claimed last week that Tehran agreed to hand over enriched uranium. Now he claimed that Iran has decided to refrain from building nuclear weapons.
