Niall Horan shares how Liam Payne would have reacted to ‘End of an Era’
Niall Horan is sure Liam Payne would have loved his new song End of an Era.
The 32-year-old Irish singer made a special song in his new album “Dinner Party” as a tribute to his late pal.
Niall recently dropped song End of an Erawhich he especially dedicated to Liam. It is an emotional song with heart touching lyrics that reflect how much he misses his late friend and wished he would have had the chance to say goodbye.
The part of lyrics goes, “We had it, pure magic remembering what it was like. Time passes so fast that I couldn’t tell you goodbye.”
The Slow Hands hitmaker recently spoke about his former One Direction mate, who passed away tragically on October 16, 2024 in Argentina.

When asked, in an interview with The Times of London, how would Payne have reacted to the song End of an Era, Niall revealed that it was a typical Liam type of song.
He opened, “I think it’s his type of song, he liked Coldplay, he loved songs like You & I by One Direction, songs that went somewhere.”
This Town singer further recalled his last meeting with the Teardrops singer in Argentina few days before latter’s passing. “I’m glad of that, it means my last memory of him was happy.”
He further confessed, “It still feels surreal. On day one I was, like, ‘Nah, it didn’t happen.’ Our friendship was a bond that was there forever even if we hadn’t seen each other for a while and it’s wild that one day, like the flick of a switch, he’s gone.”
Work wise, Horan is looking forward to the release of “Dinner Party” on June 5.
