Famous helmet manufacturer 'Studs' has launched its much awaited 'Nardo Grey' limited edition series in the Indian market. This special edition is available across seven of the company's flagship helmet models, offering both gloss and matte finish options. Only 1,947 units of this series have been produced to mark India's 80th Independence Day. These helmets are currently available at Studs authorized dealers across the country and will soon be available at other retail outlets as well.

The History and Significance Behind the Color Nardo Grey

The inspiration for the color 'nardo grey' comes from southern Italy 'Nardo Ring' This high-speed test has been taken from the track. The color was first used on the famous 'Audi R8' car and has since become a hallmark of European performance car culture.

There is a special reason for introducing this color on Independence Day. The color 'grey' is considered as the operational color of the Indian Defense Forces. Therefore, the company has launched this special edition to honor the bravery and discipline of the soldiers.

  • All helmets in this series are ISI/BIS certified as per Indian standards, while two models have also received DOT certification.
  • A high-impact thermoplastic shell is used for the outer part of the helmet, with a regulated-density EPS liner inside and a UV-resistant lacquer.
  • It features hypoallergenic breathable padding and quick-release micro-metric chin strap buckles for a comfortable ride.

Special campaigns and recent launches

The series is part of Studs' digital campaign “#TheColourOfHonour”, which is being run across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. A group of riders traveling from Bihar to Nepal is also being supported under this campaign.

Also, Studs recently launched the Trooper Trail- ₹2,125 and Trooper Legacy Shield- ₹2,425 helmets in the Indian market. Along with this, the Helios Effect full-face helmet has been introduced at ₹3,445.
