Examination in Delhi, education in Rampur… Akhilesh takes a jibe at the government in defense of Johar University.

Rampur/New Delhi. The protest of students is increasing on two different issues related to education in the country. On one hand, students are continuously protesting against the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, while on the other hand, students are on an indefinite strike in protest against the proposed administrative action on 38 buildings of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding both these matters, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has given a statement in support of the students while targeting the Central and State Governments.

Examination in Delhi, question of education in Rampur

While posting on social media platform X, Akhilesh Yadav said that two big student movements are going on in the country at present. According to him, students in Delhi are struggling regarding the examination system, while in Rampur a fight is being fought to save an important institution of education. He said that the future of thousands of youth is linked to Johar University and the Samajwadi Party delegation met the students and stands with their demands.

There is a movement for examination going on in Delhi and for education in Rampur.

Political attack on the government

Commenting on the student movements, Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the working style of the government. He alleged that efforts were being made to suppress democratic opposition. Meanwhile, while giving historical context, he said that “Even in Hitler’s government, this thing used to happen that he used to make his political workers wear police uniforms and beat other political workers with sticks.”

The students’ protest continued for the fourth day at the main entrance of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, Rampur. The protesting students say that the proposed action against 38 buildings of the university should be withdrawn. They argue that if this action is taken, it will have a direct impact on the education and future of thousands of students.

Accusations of putting pressure on the administration

The students participating in the protest alleged that they were being pressurized during the protest and instead of listening to their views, they were being harassed. The protesters say that till now no positive initiative has been taken by the administration, although they hope that a solution will be found through talks.
