In a major administrative step, the West Bengal government on Monday, under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, issued instructions to terminate the tenure of all nominated members, directors and chairpersons appointed in non-statutory bodies, boards, organizations and public sector undertakings functioning under the state government with immediate effect.
