Amidst increasing economic uncertainty and energy crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the countrymen to exercise restraint and save resources. Now, regarding this appeal of the Prime Minister, the ministers of the Central Government are also demanding cooperation from the people.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said during a program on Monday that the situation in West Asia does not seem to be normalizing at the moment. He said that the possibility of ceasefire still seems distant and at such a time the responsibility of every Indian increases. The minister asked people to take the Prime Minister’s appeal seriously and contribute at their level.
He said that even though India is not the cause of this crisis, the global situation is affecting the country’s economy and common people. The world is currently going through a period of instability and in such a situation there is a need for energy saving, foreign exchange conservation and better utilization of domestic resources.

Ashwini Vaishnav urged people to reduce electricity and oil consumption in homes and businesses. He said that in the current situation, even small savings can prove important for the country. The Prime Minister also appealed to postpone foreign trips for the time being and reduce the purchase of gold for a year. He said that this will reduce the pressure on the country’s foreign exchange reserves. PM Modi said that there are many beautiful places to visit within India and it is important to give priority to the national interest in times of crisis.
