Maharajganj, Rae Bareli. On the last day of the seven-day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya organized at Gosai Baba Ashram located at Kansipur Kuti Post Halor, storyteller Devi Shivangi Goswami (Shridham Ayodhya) gave an emotional description of the divine pastimes of Lord Shri Krishna. Devotees became emotional after hearing the incidents of killing of Bhaumasura, marriage of Lord Krishna, teachings of Bhagwat Dharma, kings of Kaliyuga and friendship between Shri Krishna and Sudama.
Describing the character of Sudama, Devi Shivangi Goswami said that true friendship is not dependent on wealth, position and prestige. The love and intimacy with which Lord Shri Krishna welcomed his poor friend Sudama is a unique example of selfless love, equality and friendship. He said that even in adverse circumstances, man should maintain his values, loyalty and faith in God.
He said that the activities of Lord Krishna inspire religion, justice, compassion, service and charity in human life. Helping the needy and serving humanity is also true worship of God.
Shrimad Bhagwat Katha was organized under the aegis of Shri Hari Gopal Ashram Seva Sanstha. At the closing ceremony, Vyas Peeth was bid farewell with reverence and emotion. During this time the Katha place echoed with the praises of Lord Krishna. The devotees resolved to adopt the messages of religion, devotion, love and morality received from the story in their lives.
On this occasion, a large number of devotees including Sampurnanand Giri, Manoj Kumar, Ramdayal, Ratipal, Shivkumar, Pawan Yadav, Lavkush Singh, Sher Bahadur Singh, Santram were present.
