According to the information, a Nihang allegedly tried to attack Sukhbir Singh Badal present in the Gurudwara premises with a sharp weapon. The weapon is said to be a sabre. During this, Badal got injured in his right hand. Immediately after the incident, the security personnel took him to a safe place and then he was taken to the hospital.

In the video that surfaced after the attack, Sukhbir Singh Badal is seen reaching the hospital surrounded by security personnel. In the video, he is seen keeping a cloth on his injured hand. However, according to the information regarding his condition, the injury is not said to be serious.

Attacker in custody, police is interrogating

Nanded District Magistrate Rahul Kardile said that Sukhbir Singh Badal had reached the Gurudwara on a personal visit. Adequate arrangements were made for his security as per protocol. Meanwhile, a person suddenly entered the Gurudwara premises and attacked Badal, after which he suffered minor injuries. A police inspector who came to intervene during the attack also suffered minor injuries.

Immediately after the incident, the police took the suspected attacker into custody. He is being interrogated and the police is trying to find out the reason behind the attack. After the incident, the security arrangements of Sukhbir Singh Badal have been further strengthened.
