Sukhbir Badal Attack: His first reaction has come to light after the attack by Nihangs on Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal in Nanded, Maharashtra. After the attack, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the aim of the attackers was to disturb the peace of Punjab, which he would never tolerate as the President of Akali Dal.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said, ‘Their aim is to disturb the peace of Punjab, which I will never tolerate as the President of Akali Dal. Even my father did not allow this to happen.
‘Both times I was attacked at the most sacred places.
The former Deputy Chief Minister further said, ‘Both times they attacked me at the most sacred places, the first time at the Golden Temple and the second time at Takht Hazur Sahib. Neither am I afraid, nor have I ever been afraid. He said that he only wants to say that Shiromani Akali Dal is committed to communal harmony and brotherhood.
‘Whose Guru Sahib’s hand is on his head, He doesn’t feel any pain’
Sukhbir Singh Badal said in his statement, ‘The one who has Guru Sahib’s hand on his head, does not feel any harm. Try as hard as you want, everything is in the hands of God. He further said, ‘I thank Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj for coming to his land. The enemies of peace in the country and Punjab made a big effort, but Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj saved it.
‘Akali Dal is ready to make every sacrifice for Punjab’
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Shiromani Akali Dal is ready to make every sacrifice for Punjab. He said that for him the progress of Punjab and the country comes first and brotherhood is his priority.
Nihang attacked Nanded Gurudwara with a saber
Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked with a saber by Nihangs at a gurudwara on the outskirts of Nanded city in Maharashtra on Thursday (August 13). Police said that Sukhbir Singh Badal was immediately taken to the hospital, where two-three stitches were put on his right hand.
Attacker Jaspal Singh arrested, Was working as a servant in Gurudwara
According to the police, the attacker has been identified as Jaspal Singh and has been arrested. Police said Singh was aged between 60 and 62 and was working as a sevadar or volunteer at Gurdwara Mata Sahib Dewan Ji Mugat.
