The Sun Group-developed airline received the regional award 10 months after starting commercial operations. It also climbed to 99th in Skytrax’s World’s Top 100 Airlines ranking, from 156th in 2025.
The World Airline Awards are based on a global passenger satisfaction survey covering airport services, cabin facilities and onboard service.

The recognition comes as the airline expands its domestic and international network, with Phu Quoc as its main hub.
It operates a destination-focused model linking air travel with accommodation, entertainment, dining and other tourism services through partnerships within Sun Group’s tourism ecosystem.
The carrier is expanding into Northeast and Southeast Asia, with plans for further connections to China, India, Russia, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.

The airline said the expansion targets leisure travelers as well as visitors attending conferences, corporate events, destination weddings and group tours.
Its fleet is expected to reach 33 aircraft by the end of 2026, including five wide-body Airbus A330s. It plans to expand to 60 aircraft in 2027, 100 by 2030 and 200 by 2035.
The airline is also investing in ground services, airport lounges and cabin facilities as it works toward internationally recognized five-star service standards.
Nguyen Manh Quan, CEO of Sun PhuQuoc Airways, said the Skytrax award marked a milestone in the carrier’s early development.
“Supported by a long-term investment strategy and an established destination ecosystem, we have steadily built safe and reliable operational capabilities, expanded our fleet and route network, and continuously enhanced our service quality,” he said.

Quan said the airline would continue improving passenger services and strengthening connections between Phu Quoc and international markets.
The expansion comes as Phu Quoc prepares to host APEC 2027, with airport upgrades and investments in transport, accommodation and conference facilities underway.
The airline said its expanding fleet and international network would help improve access to Phu Quoc for business and leisure travelers and visitors attending international events.
