Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches direct Singapore – Phu Quoc service

The service operates daily. Flight 9G721 departs Phu Quoc at 10:35 a.m. and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 1:20 p.m. local time. The return flight, 9G720, leaves Singapore at 2:20 p.m. and lands in Phu Quoc at 3:05 p.m.

“I’ve wanted to visit Phu Quoc for a long time,” said Lim Mei Ling, a traveler from Singapore on the inaugural flight. “The new direct service is convenient, with checked baggage, meals and beverages included. The discounted child fare was especially helpful for families like ours.”

Passengers on the route receive a 23-kg checked baggage allowance, along with inflight meals and beverages. Children aged two to 12 are eligible for fares set at 75% of the adult ticket price.

The route’s competitive edge is further reinforced at the point of departure. Through the partnership between Sun Group and Changi Airports International (CAI), Phu Quoc International Airport is being developed as a “destination airport” creating a seamless journey from the moment passengers step through the terminal doors.

The Singapore route follows the airline’s earlier launches of services to Taipei, Seoul and Hong Kong. Bangkok comes next on August 8, with Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia, and Kazakhstan in the pipeline.

Alongside its international expansion, Sun PhuQuoc Airways on July 25 also launched domestic services connecting Hai Phong with Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc. Additional routes to Da Lat, Can Tho and Buon Ma Thuot are planned, broadening access to the Pearl Island from key economic regions across the country.

SPA is scaling its fleet to 32 aircraft in 2026 and introducing wide-body Airbus A330s from September 2026, the platform that will underpin medium-and long-haul route development as the airline works toward its “Rise to the World” strategy, positioning Phu Quoc as a new regional gateway for tourism and trade.
