Supreme Court on CJP Protest: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the agitation announced by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi's Connaught Place (CP) and seeking a stay on the agitation. The Supreme Court refused to pass an immediate order on the petition citing the potential loss to small shopkeepers. But at the same time CJP has also been given an advice.
During the hearing, the CJI said, “We hope the CJP's agitators will behave wisely. Business is the livelihood of the entire family. We will take up the matter on October 26 or 27. We will pass orders if necessary.”

CJP protest in Connaught Place
CJP chief Abhijit Deepke has announced a protest at CP Central Park at 5 PM today. The agitation has been announced in support of CJP spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das, calling on them to stand up for this agitation.
Taking an aggressive stance against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, Ranka and Das had entered Jantar Mantar on October 13 by jumping from the gate holding the tricolor and shouting slogans. The police immediately detained him. The next day, the two leaders were arrested by the police, where the magistrate remanded them to five days of judicial custody.
Petition to the High Court
Against this CJPhas announced the Tricolor March. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had refused to order the protest at Connaught Place Central Park on October 15. During the hearing, the police said that all-out efforts will be made to control and organize these movements.
The petitioner's counsel said that the protest was announced in the middle of Connaught Place Central Park. This is not a suitable place for agitation. In response, traders have started closing their shops. This movement should be stopped.
Tight security system
In the wake of the CJP's agitation, over 6,000 Delhi Police personnel and 220 companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) have been deployed in the New Delhi area. Officials said their main focus is to secure the many entry and exit routes to the commercial area so that there is no disruption to the movement of people. CCTV cameras are being installed to monitor the area.
During the CJP's agitation, the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) announced that Central Park would remain closed to the public on Friday and Saturday for administrative reasons. However, the Delhi Police later said that they may allow selected individuals to hoist the national flag and sing the national anthem at appropriate places.
