According to the police, the accused suspected that the son had illicit relations with his own mother. It was only because of this doubt that he committed the crime.

Prayagraj Police said that the accused has been identified as Girish Chandra Jaiswal alias Pappu Jaiswal. The name of the deceased 20 year old son is Priyanshu Jaiswal. The accused attacked the son on the head with a heavy object. He died on the spot due to severe injuries. On receiving the information, the team of Kareli police station reached Chaatwali Gali. From where the murdered father has been arrested.

Assistant Police Commissioner (Atarsuiya) Nikita Srivastava said that the accused has confessed to his crime. He suspected the son of having an illicit relationship with the mother.
