Suvendu Adhikari Oath Ceremony: Suvendu Adhikari took oath as Chief Minister today (May 09) after his historic victory in the West Bengal Assembly Elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen along with many senior BJP leaders and state chief ministers are present in this swearing-in ceremony. Four-five names were leading in the race for the post of Chief Minister of West Bengal. Finally, on Friday, Suvendu Adhikari was elected as the leader of the Vidhan Sabha.

From Congress to BJP; Suvendu Adhikari’s political journey in discussion

The political journey of Suvendu Adhikari who has emerged as an effective leader in West Bengal politics is considered to be very interesting. From rural background to Chief Ministership

Suvendu Adhikari, a resident of East Medinipur district, is known as a leader who has come from rural areas rather than traditional political centers like Kolkata. After the last five decades, he has become the first leader from a rural background to reach the post of Chief Minister. Earlier in 1970, Ajay Mukherjee became the Chief Minister from rural areas.

Meanwhile, tight security was kept in Kolkata for his swearing-in ceremony. Thousands of police personnel were deployed in key areas of the city, including the Brigade Parade Ground, to ensure a peaceful celebration.
