Noida has performed brilliantly in the Clean Air Survey 2026 and has achieved 8th rank in the country in the category of cities with population of 3 to 10 lakh. Last year, Noida was ranked 9th in this category. This time the city has improved by one place.
According to Noida Authority, this achievement is the result of joint efforts of the authority and the city residents. In the Clean Air Survey, cities are evaluated on the basis of parameters like air quality improvement, road dust control, waste management, green area development and public participation.
What work was done in Noida for clean air?
Several steps have been taken to control dust at construction sites in Noida, including mechanical sweeping of roads, water sprinkling and pollution monitoring. Apart from this, work is also being done on expanding green areas and promoting clean transportation in the city.
Use of modern mechanical sweeping machines for cleaning roads.
Modern mechanical sweeping machines are being used by the authority for cleaning the main roads. In areas with high dust, water spraying is also done with anti-smog guns and water sprinkler tankers. The authority said that CAQM standards are being followed to improve air quality.
Noida Authority says that efforts to improve the air quality of the city will be intensified in future also. In the coming years, work will be done on all the necessary standards to achieve a better rank in the Clean Air Survey.
