Swiggy : Swiggy launches ‘Late Night Eats’ service for night shift workers in India!
India’s leading on-demand convenience platform Swiggy has launched a new service ‘Late Night Eats’ for late-night working professionals. Available at over 4,000 office locations and over 30,000 restaurants across 30 major cities in India, the service will offer customers a selection of food, attractive discounts, fast delivery and special ‘2 AM Club’ benefits from 10 pm to 5 am. This initiative has been launched keeping in mind the needs of global time employees, night shift professionals and employees with extended working hours.

This service offers food from popular brands like Burger King, Domino’s Pizza, McDonald’s, KFC and Subway. Also under the concept of ‘Deskites’ various options like rolls, wraps, healthy bowls, salads, coffee, tea, shakes, french fries, snacks, desserts and pizza for group orders have been included which can be easily eaten at the workstation. These food options are designed keeping in mind the needs of employees who work late into the night.
According to Swiggy’s data, about 25 percent of office workers order food from the office after 10 pm. Tier-2 cities such as Bhubaneswar, Goa, Kochi, Lucknow, Visakhapatnam and Ahmedabad have recorded double digit growth in late night food orders. The company also said that more than one-third of restaurants serving office premises are accepting orders between 10 pm and 6 am.

Deepak Malu, Vice President, Food Strategy, Customer Experience and New Initiatives, Swiggy, said that the nature of workplaces is changing rapidly and the number of employees working on global time is increasing. With the steady increase in office orders after 10 pm, ‘Late Night Eats’ has been launched with the aim of providing a more reliable, affordable and fast food delivery service to such customers. He also explained that the service will be expanded by including more restaurants and office centers in the future.
