Sydney Sweeney’s Cameo Removed from ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Ahead of Release
Actor Sydney Sweeney will not appear in the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2despite having filmed a cameo role. Reports confirm that her scene was removed during the final edit following audience feedback during test screenings.
According to industry sources, Sweeney had shot a sequence alongside Emily Bluntwho reprises her role as Emily Charlton. The scene reportedly featured Sweeney playing herself, being styled for a high-profile gala event. However, it was ultimately excluded from the final cut as it did not resonate well with viewers.
Audience Feedback Influenced Final Edit
The decision to remove Sweeney’s cameo was based on test audience reactions, which questioned certain narrative elements. Another deleted scene involved actor Conrad Ricamorawho portrayed a roommate of Andy Sachs.
Viewers reportedly found the subplot inconsistent with the character arc of Andy, played by Anne Hathaway. In the sequel, Andy is depicted as a senior executive, nearly two decades after her journey began in the original film The Devil Wears Prada.
As a result, the storyline has been revised to focus more on Andy’s professional life and her interactions with other key characters.

Despite these changes, the film retains several high-profile appearances. Global pop icon Lady Gaga is set to feature in the film and has also contributed to its soundtrack.
