Actress Taapsee Pannu shared a cryptic social media post on Sunday, a day after BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut accused her of making remarks about her upbringing and referred to her as a “sasti copy”.
Kangana had on Saturday taken to Instagram to criticize Taapsee without naming her directly. In a post that was later deleted, she accused the actress of ridiculing her upbringing and parents and questioned why she had not been “original”.
Kangana also defended her family background, saying she came from a “renowned Rajput zamindar family” and was raised by educated and distinguished parents. She further objected to what she described as personal attacks on her family.
Taapsee responded on Sunday without directly referring to Kangana. Sharing a brief post on her social media account, she wrote: “Hence proved.”
The development came days after Taapsee spoke about her equation with Kangana during a media interaction. Taapsee said she had never met Kangana and suggested that her perception of the actress was based on her upbringing, manner of speaking and the way she viewed things.
“So, I think that's enough for everybody to look and decide who comes from where,” Taapsee had said.
The latest exchange adds another chapter to the long-running public friction between the two actresses. Their feud dates back to 2019, when Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel described Taapsee as a “sasti copy” of Kangana on social media.
Both actresses have since made occasional comments about each other, keeping their professional and personal differences in the public spotlight.
