Mumbai . Famous music singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday, April 12 at the age of 92. The news of his demise has created a wave of mourning in the music world. While on one hand the whole world is paying emotional tribute to him, on the other hand those pages of his life are also being remembered, which were full of struggles and relationship complications along with fame.

Struggles of first marriage: The most challenging turn of Asha Didi’s life came when at the age of just 16, she went against the wishes of her family and married Ganpatrao Bhosle, who was the personal secretary of her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. Ganpatrao was much older than Asha Tai.

This bond was full of ups and downs and finally broke in 1960. Asha ji had to leave home with two children and her third pregnancy. After this, raising children as a single mother and creating her own unique place in the world of music became a symbol of her indomitable courage.

The most famous relationship in Asha ji’s life was with her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. For several decades, there were reports of professional competition and discord between them in the media. However, many years later, Asha ji clarified that even though their methods of working were different, their mutual relationship was very deep. He often said, “We were two bodies and one soul.”

Asha ji got a new dimension of personal happiness and music when musician Rahul Dev Burman alias Pancham Da came into her life. Both of them got married in 1980 and the pair changed the face of Indian cinema music. Their unbreakable relationship remained based on mutual artistic respect until Pancham da’s death in 1994.

Off the stage, Asha Bhosle was the backbone of her family. The way he handled himself and his family even after losing his daughter Varsha and son Hemant is a guidance for millions of people. He always maintained a deep connection with his grandchildren.
