Tata Motors, through its subsidiary TML CV Holdings Pvt Ltd, announced plans to acquire Iveco's business excluding its defense division. The deal was valued at €3.8 billion which is approximately ₹38,240 crore.

The offer for Iveco was €14.10 per share

The leading commercial vehicle manufacturer had previously offered €14.10 per share for Iveco. Accordingly, the deal was valued at €3.82 billion. In September, Tata Motors made a voluntary, all-cash tender offer to purchase all existing ordinary shares of Iveco. The period of acceptance of this offer is from 7th September to 26th October 2026.

Iveco Group shareholders will attend a special general meeting on October 16 to vote on the relevant proposals. Iveco's Board of Directors has unanimously approved the deal.

Due to this, the company decided to increase the offer price

In a notice to the stock markets on Friday, Tata Motors said the earlier offer price reflected a fair and complete valuation of Iveco. But, as the process of getting the necessary pre-approvals is taking longer than initially estimated, the company has decided to increase the offer price. The revised offer price is 33.47 percent higher than Iveco's share price on July 17, 2025, the company said.
