Tata Sierra.EV Does 700 Kms (Bombay To Goa) In A Single Charge [Video]

Tata is all set to launch its latest electric SUV, the Sierra EV, in the Indian market. The official launch of the Sierra EV is scheduled for 30 June 2026, and we have already started seeing official videos and reels related to the Sierra EV online. We already know about the battery pack and the power and torque figures of the EV. However, we are yet to get official confirmation about the same. Before the official launch, we have now come across a video where a Tata Sierra EV covered over 700 km on a single charge from Mumbai to Goa.

The video has been shared by Tata.ev on its official YouTube channel. We have seen Tata come up with such interesting video campaigns for its new products. Before the Sierra, we saw a similar campaign for the Punch EV too.

In this video, we see three different types of customers drive a Tata Sierra EV from Mumbai to Goa for different reasons. One of them was on a family trip, another was driving for work, and the third was a motor journalist who was simply testing the vehicle.

Both the first and second customers were driving the car normally, while the journalist was hypermiling to find out how far he could go on a single charge in the Sierra EV. While the first two Sierra EVs stopped for charging in between, the third Sierra EV continued to drive without any breaks.

In the video, the journalist mentions that after covering around 309 km, he still had 56 percent SOC remaining. He was closer to Goa by then, and his next aim was to find out whether Goa would be his final stop or if he could drive any further.

As he was hypermiling, he was probably maintaining a constant speed and ensuring that the EV was not pushed hard on open highways, which would drain the batteries faster.

As expected, he entered Goa with 21 percent SOC remaining and had already covered 547 km on this trip. He didn’t stop and continued driving to find out how far he could actually go. He drove the car towards Gokarna, and in the video, the SUV ran out of charge just a few kilometres before reaching Gokarna. In total, he managed to cover 702 km on a single charge in the Sierra EV.

In this particular video, we noticed that the EV supports DC fast charging speeds of up to 120 kW and also has the triple-screen setup seen in the regular Sierra. We also noticed that the driver display was showing a maximum range of 530 km in Eco mode.

The Sierra EV is based on the Acti.ev platform and comes with a floating centre console, a chunky-looking gear selector, a wireless phone charger, a four-spoke steering wheel, a HUD, adjustable under-thigh support for the front seats, seat ventilation, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with a memory function, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos support, an electric tailgate, six airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

The SUV is expected to offer 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs, with 238 PS and 315 Nm of torque in the RWD version and 504 Nm of torque in the QWD version.
