Tension increases over demolition of mosque built in Saharanpur Collectorate complex, SP MP Iqra Hasan house arrested

Saharanpur. The administration has demolished the mosque built in the Collectorate in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. The administration said that the City Magistrate's Court had declared the construction of the mosque on government land illegal and the first appeal of the Mosque Committee had also been rejected. Due to this, the administration demolished the mosque early today. During this period, a large number of police forces and RRF forces were deployed there. At the same time, tension has increased after the demolition of the mosque. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party's Kairana MP Iqra Hasan has also been put under house arrest.

Actually, there was a dispute for some time regarding the mosque located in the Saharanpur Collectorate complex. Officials said that, during the hearing in the City Magistrate's court, the construction of the mosque was found to be illegal. This construction was found on government land. The mosque committee had appealed against this order. However, that appeal was also rejected and the original order of the City Magistrate was upheld. The administration has claimed to have completed all legal procedures before taking action.

At the same time, before the demolition of the mosque, security arrangements were made very tight in Saharanpur. A large number of police forces were deployed. PAC and RRF personnel were deployed. Continuous foot patrolling and flag marches were conducted in mixed populated areas.

After this action, SP MP Iqra Hasan has been put under house arrest. Iqra Hasan was going to Saharanpur when she was stopped by the police. It is being told that, in view of the tense situation, Iqra Hasan has been put under house arrest.
