TET Exam Paper Leak : TET Exam canceled on time; Bhiwandi Police busts paperfoot racket
There has been a lot of excitement after the TET exam paper has been released. After the paper leak came to light, the education department has taken a big decision to cancel (postpone) the exam to be held tomorrow by taking immediate steps.
Distribution of paper by exchange of money in Thane
The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be held tomorrow (June 28, 2026) has been immediately postponed (cancelled) due to paper leakage. This major action was taken after the police received information that paper was being distributed by exchanging money in Bhiwandi area of Thane district. According to preliminary investigation, candidates demand lakhs of rupees per paper to get this exam paper was being done. Some token amount was taken on the bid to give the paper 24 hours before the commencement of the exam and the remaining amount was to be paid after the work.
Big action by the police
According to the information received by the police, the papers were being distributed by collecting the candidates in lodges and hideouts in some interior areas of Bhiwandi and Thane or directly delivering the papers through agents. As the final exchange of money and actual distribution of paper was going on, the Bhiwandi police raided the Kongaon police station limits and busted the racket. Police recovered some cash, mobile phones and digital suspicious documents from the spot, apart from suspected question papers have been confiscated.
Suspect in police custody
A police team has detained some suspects and they are being interrogated at a secret location. Police have not released their names at this time to maintain the confidentiality of the investigation and to reach the original masterminds. Who is the mastermind of this racket and which classes are involved in it will be officially clear soon after thorough investigation by the police.
