Thai women rank third among foreign brides of South Korean men

Thai women were the third-largest group of foreign brides marrying South Korean men in 2025, accounting for 9.2% of the total, according to government statistics.

About 1,400 Thai women married South Korean men last year, out of 15,300 foreign brides, Yonhap reported Thursday, citing data from South Korea’s Data and Statistics Ministry.

Vietnamese women topped the list with 25.3%, followed by Chinese women at 15.1%.

South Korea registered 21,399 multicultural marriages in 2025, including those between South Korean women and foreign men, a slight decline of 0.2% from the previous year, according to the Bangkok Post.
