Political tension increased in Tamil Nadu: Vijay’s supporter set himself on fire, was angry over the delay in government formation.

Tamil Nadu government formation: The ongoing political tussle over the formation of a new government in Tamil Nadu now appears to be taking an emotional turn. A supporter of TVK chief C.Joseph Vijay, angry over the delay in becoming the Chief Minister, allegedly set himself on fire. There was a stir in the area after the incident and the seriously burnt youth was immediately admitted to the hospital.

According to media reports, there was talk of possible swearing-in of Thalapathy Vijay on Saturday, but the program was postponed due to lack of consensus regarding government formation. After this, resentment and restlessness seems to be increasing among Vijay’s supporters. It is being told that a supporter named Isakkiyappan, about 40 years old, wanted to see Vijay become the Chief Minister. He was extremely emotional and troubled by the continuous delay in government formation. Meanwhile he set himself on fire. His condition is said to be serious.

Has performed strangely before too

According to the information, this is not the first time that Isakiyappan has taken such a step in support of Vijay. About four months ago too, he had demonstrated by putting a 16 feet long ‘vel’ i.e. spear through his face, wishing for Vijay to become the Chief Minister. Even at that time, her pictures were much discussed.

Amidst the increasing tension in Tamil Nadu, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan has expressed concern over the situation. He said that people in the state are emotionally connected to the formation of the new government, but any kind of violence or suicidal steps are extremely worrying. He appealed to Vijay to immediately issue a message of peace to his supporters and advised them to stay away from any dangerous step.

Amidst the political tension, another worrying news also came out from Valliyur area. Here a young man allegedly tried to commit suicide, after which he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. In another incident, a young man was attacked with a blade outside the VCK office. After these incidents, the atmosphere of Tamil Nadu politics has become more heated. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation.
