Lucknow. An attempt was made to attack Rajesh Ranjan, alias Pappu Yadav, the independent MP from Purnia, Bihar, during a press conference. It is alleged that an attempt was made to attack him with a knife. Meanwhile, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP government over this incident. He said that the BJP is unable to digest the popularity of MP Pappu Yadav.

Akhilesh Yadav wrote on social media, “Violence is born out of the fear of defeat. The BJP is desperate, which is why, after targeting the nation’s children, it is now carrying out deadly attacks on MPs. The incident of an attacker arriving at his press conference with a knife is a very serious matter and a grave lapse on the part of the government department responsible for the MP’s security. An investigation should be conducted.”

Pappu Yadav made a serious allegation.
MP Pappu Yadav said, “Someone entered my house and attacked me. Can’t people even come to meet us now? He came with a knife to kill me.” He said that a conspiracy was hatched to murder him, but he survived. He said that some godmen were constantly threatening him, saying, “Kill me, burn me, we will give you 51 lakh rupees.” He said that he had caught the accused and handed him over to the police.
