The director made such a demand from Mithun Chakraborty’s daughter-in-law and ‘Anupama’ actress, you will be shocked to hear this.

Be it Bollywood or television, this glittering industry looks as beautiful from a distance as it appears hollow from within. This is not what we are saying but the experiences of the artists. Let us tell you, recently Anupama fame actress and Mithun Chakraborty’s daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma appeared in ‘The Male Feminist’ podcast. During this, Madalsa told that a famous director of the industry made such a demand from her in return for work, which shook her from within.

The incident happened at the age of 19

While sharing her experience during the conversation, Madalsa said that this incident happened to her when she was just 19 years old and was struggling to make a name for herself in the industry. The actress told that she had a meeting fixed with a very famous director and he had called the actress to his office for casting. Madalsa told that when she reached for the meeting, the director said "He is looking for an actress who is comfortable wearing a bikini."

The actress said "In today’s times, wearing a bikini is a common thing in films, but at that time I wanted to know whether there is really any scene in the film for which it is necessary or it is being said otherwise." The actress further told that after this demand of the director, she asked about the film script and her role but the director refused to show or tell anything.

Director crossed limits

The conversation did not stop here. The intentions of the director became completely clear when he put a strange condition before the actress. Madalsa told that "The director wanted to see how I looked in a bikini and what my body language was, for which he made a condition that I should show him wearing a bikini at that very moment." However, after this demand of the director, Madalsa did not panic and she understood that this meeting was not for work but an attempt to do casting couch.

Agreement given to the director

Madalsa replied in agreement to the director and said "Look, I am an actress by profession and I will wear bikini, saree or lehenga whatever I want to wear in front of the camera with full confidence. If you believe in my talent and want to cast me then you can let me know. Because wearing a bikini in front of you is not part of my job. Otherwise I know which side the door is on." Saying this, Madalsa immediately went out from there without caring about what the director would think and how it would affect her work.
