Tezzbuzz Desk- Political activities have intensified before the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections. In this series, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge public meeting in Dumdum in North 24 Parganas district of the state and fiercely attacked the ruling Trinamool Congress.

In his address, Narendra Modi described the safety and empowerment of women as a major issue and said that if the BJP government is formed, every woman of Bengal will be guaranteed security, respect and a better life. He claimed that poor women would get benefits of schemes like free ration and “Syndicate Raj” would be ended.

The Prime Minister made serious allegations against the state government and said that the current system lacks sensitivity regarding the safety of women. He said that after coming to power, BJP will investigate every atrocities committed against women and strict action will be taken against the culprits.

During the meeting, he emphasized the role of “women power” of Bengal and said that this time women are becoming the decisive force of change. According to him, signs of change have already been seen in the first phase of voting and this trend will become more clear in the coming phases.

Narendra Modi also mentioned Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee in his speech and said that the roots of BJP’s ideology are linked to Bengal. Referring to the removal of Article 370, he called it a big step for the unity of the country.

This visit of the Prime Minister has taken place at a time when the second phase of voting is near and all the political parties are putting in all their strength. Now it has to be seen how much impact these claims and allegations have on the voters in the election field.
