The friendship between Krishna and Sudama is a unique example from which we should learn a lesson.
Bureau Prayagraj. On the last day of Bhagwat Week going on in Thanapur, Bhagwat Kar Acharya Yashoda Nandan Ji gave a unique explanation of the friendship between Shri Krishna and Sudama and told how the friendship between a king and a pauper should be. This is an unmatched example of the friendship between Krishna and Sudama. In friendship there is neither a king nor a pauper. Friendship is a precious thing in which inequality, poverty, richness and position have no importance.
Acharya ji said that King Drupada, in his arrogance of being a king, had tarnished the friendship by insulting the best childhood friend like Dronacharya, whereas what Shri Krishna did for Sudama by becoming the king of Dwarka is unmatched till date. Because Krishna did not have the ego of a king and Sudama was not allowed to realize his poverty by following the friendship dharma of the same childhood friend, while Drupada had the ego of a king and started following the friendship dharma. Mockingly, Dronacharya was humiliated and driven away from the royal court. As a result, Drupada had to be taken hostage and seek forgiveness at the feet of Dronacharya.
On the last day of Bhagwat week, Acharya gave information to the devotees by giving many examples mentioned in Bhagwat. Bhagwat teaches us what is the essence of life. If a person knows what is justice and injustice, what is righteousness and unrighteousness, then he can never do wrong in his life. Organizers of Bhagwat Sapta, Manik Chandra Dwivedi and Rajendra Dwivedi, organized this event in the memory of their ancestors, which was quite successful.
