The ghost of 2022 haunts Virat Kohli, account not opened for the second consecutive match
Virat Kohli has been out for a duck for the second consecutive match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran batsman Kohli could not open his account after playing 2 balls against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 7. He was clean bowled by Prince Yadav on an excellent ball. This was a rare failure of Kohli in the run chase.
When RCB came out to chase the target of 167 runs against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (May 10), the fans had hopes that Kohli would forget the disappointment of the previous match and play a big innings but this time he got out on a golden duck. Deepak Chahar sent him to the pavilion. Kohli was also out on zero in two consecutive matches in IPL 2022. This was the same season in which Kohli flopped miserably. He was able to score only 341 runs in 16 innings at a very poor strike rate of 155.98.

RCB has lost two consecutive matches
RCB had made an excellent start to their title defense campaign. He had won 4 in the first 5 matches. However, after this he had to struggle. The team has been able to register only 2 wins in the next 5 matches. He has faced defeat in the last two matches. Kohli’s bat did not work in both these matches, for which the team had to pay the price. Now it remains to be seen whether RCB can win against MI also after their flop.

Now after being out on zero in two consecutive matches, it remains to be seen how Kohli bounces back.
