The Glory Season 3: What we know so far about renewal status, release date, cast and story

There hasn’t been an official announcement from Netflix, writer Kim Eun-sook, director Ahn Gil-ho, or the cast regarding whether The Glory will receive a third season (or Part 3) as of April 2026.

The series is a South Korean revenge psychological thriller written by Kim Eun-sook (Goblin, Descendants of the Sun) and directed by Ahn Gil-ho. It stars Song Hye-kyo as Moon Dong-eun, a woman who plans out her revenge against her high school bullies many years later. The show was split into two parts (although many consider both parts as just one 16-episode season): Part 1 was released on December 30, 2022 and Part 2 was released on March 10, 2023. Both parts were filmed consecutively and the story concluded with a clear resolution to the primary arcs of revenge.

There has been no confirmation from Netflix on whether or not a third season will happen. There are numerous credible news sources (like Wikipedia, Digital Spy, NME, and Netflix’s recent schedules) that have indicated there is still no official announcement regarding a new season of The Glory.

Many fan sites, YouTube videos and TikToks have speculated that there is a chance a third season will be made in 2026 or that there has been some type of confirmation of a new season, however, it seems that all such claims are rumors or click bait based on unreliable sources.

The 2026 schedule of Korean releases from Netflix was released at the begining of 2026, and it has been established that there will not be any The Glory included in this schedule. Song Hye-kyo will continue to work on other projects.

Kim Eun-sook, the writer, has mentioned in interviews she would like to eventually write a Part 3 (e.g., during her speech at one of the after-parties where one of the cast asked if his character could come back). However, there have been no serious discussions about writing new episodes. The showrunners have indicated that they believe the show is finished.

The Glory Season 3: Release Date

This has not been renewed as there is no information about it being renewed to date. Speculative fan predictions (late 2026 or 2027) are not reliable as they are speculative only and do not come directly from anyone involved. If the series were to be renewed, it is likely that the series would start with a minimal amount of production experience and this would continue to delay its release.

The Glory Season 3: Cast

The main ensemble from Seasons 1/2 would likely return in some capacity if a continuation happened (via flashbacks, new arcs, or spin-off elements), but nothing is confirmed:

  • Song Hye-kyo as Moon Dong-eun (lead, revenge planner)
  • Lee Do-hyun as Joo Yeo-jeong (Dong-eun’s ally/love interest)
  • Lim Ji-yeon as Park Yeon-jin (main bully)
  • Jung Sung-il as Ha Do-yeong (Yeon-jin’s husband)
  • Park Sung-hoon as Jeon Jae-jun
  • Kim Hieora as Lee Sa-ra
  • Cha Joo-young as Choi Hye-jeong
  • Yeom Hye-ran as Kang Hye-nam (and others in supporting roles)

Some characters’ fates in Part 2 make full returns challenging without flashbacks or new storylines.

The Glory Season 3: Story

The core premise follows Dong-eun’s long-term revenge against her high school tormentors who brutally abused her, leaving her physically and emotionally scarred. She becomes a teacher at the elementary school of the lead bully’s daughter while orchestrating their downfalls (involving social ruin, legal consequences, and personal destruction). Part 2 delivers much of the payoff, with themes of trauma, justice, bullying, and moral ambiguity.

A potential Season 3 could explore:

  • Aftermath and new consequences for survivors/perpetrators.
  • Flashbacks or side stories involving secondary characters.
  • Broader societal impacts or a spin-off focusing on another victim.

However, many viewers and the Reddit community consider it a self-contained story with a satisfying (if open-ended in minor ways) conclusion. The writer has called it close to “fantasy” in its revenge fulfillment.

Enjoy the existing 16 episodes on Netflix—they remain highly acclaimed for their intensity, performances (especially Song Hye-kyo’s), and social commentary. If new official news emerges, it would likely be announced via Netflix Tudum or major outlets like Deadline/Hollywood Reporter. For now, it’s not in active development.
