The system of village government will change from tomorrow, three options are being considered in governance.

Lucknow. The tenure of Gram Panchayats in the three-tier Panchayat Raj System in UP will end at 5 pm on Tuesday. Let us tell you that on Monday 25th May, some order may be issued by the government regarding the arrangements of Gram Panchayats. According to departmental sources, three types of options are being considered at the government level. Everyone’s eyes are on which of these gets approved or if any new system of Gram Panchayat operation other than these three options emerges.

The first of these three options is to give operational powers to a three or six-member committee headed by the current head. In the second option, there are proposals like making the ADO (Panchayat) the administrator, while in the third, there are proposals like forming a committee comprising the Panchayat Secretary, Panchayat Assistant and Pradhan. It is believed that since Tuesday is the last day of Pradhan’s tenure, the government is fully expected to clarify the situation regarding alternative arrangements for operation of Gram Panchayats on Monday. Till five days ago, All India Village Pradhan Organization had also staged a protest in Lucknow and raised the demand of increasing the tenure of the Pradhans or giving the right to run the Panchayat to the committee headed by the Pradhans.

Rajasthan model can be adopted

According to departmental sources, the government has three proposals. The final decision has to be taken by the government. Even if the government adopts the Rajasthan Model and gives the authority to run the Panchayats to the committee headed by the existing Pradhans, then probably the financial powers will remain in the hands of the officers. A system of three-member committee of Panchayat Secretary, Panchayat Assistant and Village Head can also be adopted.

New system will be implemented from 27th

In the three-tier Panchayat Raj System, voting for Gram Panchayat Elections in the year 2021 was conducted in four phases in the month of April, the result was declared on May 2. After this, the first meeting of Gram Panchayats was held on 25-26 May.
