The graph of Congress has been falling in UP for four decades, how will Congress be able to emerge?

The strongest party in the country which has formed the government in UP continuously since 1950. The party has been trying to come to power for 37 years since ND Tiwari’s Congress government came to power in 1989. Regional parties have become stronger than Congress. Samajwadi and Bahujan Samaj Party are at the forefront in this. The main reasons for the decline of Congress in Uttar Pradesh are the weakening of the organization, the emergence of strong regional parties and their moving away from Hindutva politics. Along with this, the party remained hesitant in changing its ideology.

The organizational weakness of Congress in UP, the country’s largest state, is the reason for the party’s weakness. From BJP to SP and BSP, everyone is busy strengthening the booth level. At the same time, Congress has not been able to form state level committees. Assembly elections are going to be held in the state after almost a year, even after that the Congress party has not been able to form assembly wise committees at the district level. In such a situation, it will be able to take on other opposition parties including BJP. Senior leaders of the party are also worried about this.

Dalit, Muslim and backward class voters joined these parties. Due to this the party continued to weaken. Even the top leaders of Congress did not pay attention to this.

Along with this, this condition of Congress has also happened due to factionalism in the party due to the interference of central officials.

morale of workers broken

The Congress Party’s support base continued to decline in the state. Due to this, the morale of the workers also started deteriorating.
