The mystery of the ‘fifth power’ hidden in the solar system! Scientists’ shocking claim about dark energy

Washington. There may be a mysterious ‘fifth force’ hidden in our solar system, which has so far remained beyond the reach of ordinary instruments. Till now four fundamental forces are considered in Nature: gravity, electromagnetic force, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force. Apart from these, if there is any additional force, then it is called the fifth force.

Scientists have claimed that this power can help explain mysteries like dark energy and the rapid expansion of the universe. There are signs of this in distant galaxies, where the behavior of gravity seems to deviate from Einstein’s theory of general relativity, but in our solar system everything still seems to follow normal physics. This paradox has now become the biggest puzzle for scientists. NASA scientists say that clues to this hidden power may also be found in our own solar system.

Scientists made shocking claim

This study has been done by Dr. Slava Turishev, a physicist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. According to the report published in Science Alert, they have tried to explain how concepts like dark energy and dark matter can be investigated locally and why special missions may now be needed in the solar system.

  • At the heart of this whole problem is a paradox scientists call the Great Disconnect. This means that the laws of physics appear to behave differently at different scales. Where there is very little matter and gravitational effects are weak, the signs of dark energy or altered gravity are more apparent. But where the substance is in excess, these effects disappear. The situation changes when scientists look far beyond our local astronomical range. Galaxies and on even larger scales the universe appears to be continuously expanding.

Although scientists continue to debate the exact speed of this expansion, there is ample evidence that something is affecting gravity or spacetime that current theories cannot fully explain. At present, dark energy is considered the strongest possible cause, although its true nature remains a mystery.

The secret can be revealed with better equipment

Scientists believe that to capture such subtle forces, more sensitive instruments will have to be developed. At present, stepwise progress is the most practical way to continuously improve measurement capabilities. If large cosmic surveys provide a clear and testable signal, and a practical mission can be designed to test it in the Solar System, it could be one of the greatest discoveries in modern physics. Such a discovery could change the way we understand gravity, dark energy, and the workings of the entire universe.
